1999
During a show at the Adams Mark Hotel in Dallas, Country singer Kenny Rogers threw a frisbee from the stage that accidentally struck an overhead chandelier. The broken glass hit audience member Kevin O’Toole, who claimed that it left his face scarred after he suffered cuts requiring 70 stitches to his face, head, and body. He later claimed this had ruined his sex life. Both he and his wife sued Rogers for $2 million, claiming the singer “deprived her of the services, love and guidance of her husband.”
