The 31st Country Music Association Awards, Ceremony, was held at the Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville, Tennessee, hosted by Vince Gill. Vocal Event of the Year went to “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Garth Brooks won Entertainer of the Year, Trisha Yearwood won Female Vocalist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year went to George Strait. Deana Carter won Single of the Year and Song of The Year for “Strawberry Wine”, Vocal Group of the Year went to Diamond Rio.
