Legislation (HB 213) could give school districts the ability to raise taxes if they face a “tough financial issue” and voters haven’t supported referendums. Cape Henlopen School Board President Alison Myers says since Cape has been successful with garnering financial support from the community, she doesn’t see the need for the change.
